ROLE OVERVIEW
Peer support coordinators are individuals who have been successful in the recovery process who help others experiencing similar situations. Through shared understanding, respect, and mutual empowerment, peer support coordinators help people become and stay engaged in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of relapse.
OFFICE LOCATION:
1500 NW Bethany Blvd. Ste. 320 Beaverton, OR 97006
COMPENSATION:
$19-20/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide peer support, skills training, and other services to assigned individuals
Assist individuals by providing a warm hand off to other agency departments for services
Working with clients to identify recovery goals and safety plans
Coordination of services with community partners and attend assigned meetings
Clinical record keeping and report writing
Respond to crisis calls as appropriate per location/position
Coverage for team members
Driving duties may assigned as needed for such things as client shopping and appointments
Attend all SUD staff meetings and training as assigned and/or needed
Participate in regular supervision with Clinical Supervisor
Wellness walks with clients
Other duties may be assigned as needed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Continuous sobriety for the immediate past two years
Certified Recovery Mentor Certification preferred
Valid driver's license
Microsoft Office skills
Previous addiction counseling experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience with patient/client documentation review
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
